DRINKHALL ENJOYS SUZHOU OPEN SINGLES WIN 20 August 2010 Paul Drinkhall today enjoyed an excellent win in Suzhou while competing in the mens singles tournament. He played the world no.55 Krill Skachkov of Russia triumphed 4-2 (6-11, 11-7, 11-6, 8-11, 4-11, 8-11). In the doubles Paul and Darius Knight were up against Chan Kazuhiro and Kan Yo (JPN) and the British duo came out on top with a 3-2 victory (10-12, 11-7, 10-12, 11-7, 6-11). However following that win they then played Chuang Chih-Yuan and Wu Chih-Chi of China and lost 3-0 (9-11, 3-11, 10-12). Tomorrow the under 21s main draw begins and Paul plays Omar Assar (EGY) at 10.45am (3.45am GMT). He later plays in the mens singles at 9.15pm (2.15pm GMT) where he takes on no.13 in the world Chen Qi (China). |
