ENGLISH NATIONAL SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS OVERVIEW
12 Mar 2010

Paul won two gold and, one silver and one bronze at the English National Senior Championships.

Last weekend, the 5th, 6th and 7th of March, saw Paul travel to the Ponds Forge national sports centre in Sheffield to compete in the English National Table Tennis Championships.

Last year the Cleveland man now based in near by Rotherham swept the board winning an unprecedented four titles available to him – Under 21 men’s singles, Mixed doubles, Men’s doubles and finally the main event the Men’s singles where he eased too a comfortable 4 – 1 victory over the twice former champion Andrew Baggaley in the final.

After a busy month spent travelling around the globe – playing competitions in Russia, Qatar and Germany – preparation was limited to say the least but Paul still felt confident as the number one seed, highest world ranked player on show and of course defending champion that he could retain all the titles available.
