2010 KUWAIT OPEN ROUND-UP 1 Mar 2010 The results from the 2010 Kuwait Open were: Paul and Matis Burgess (LAT) beat O Filenko and D Pysar (UKR) 3-0 before losing to Ryu Seung Min and Seo Min Deok 3-0. In the singles main draw Paul was beaten 4-1 by Kim Jung Hoon who is ranked number 47 in the world. In the under 21s main draw Paul beat Aman Balgu (IND) 4-1 before losing to Jung Young Sik 4-2 in the last 16 stage. Paul flew back to Germany for a club match against Julich, although they were beaten 3-0. He then came straight back to the UK on Monday morning for photos with the media as the National Championships is starting on Friday 5th March. Prior to that tournament Paul will play a European League match in Preston Guild Hall against Israel on Tuesday 2nd March. If the last event held at the Guild hall is anything to go by it will be a well organised and enjoyable event. |
