QATAR OPEN 2010 ROUND-UP 22 Feb 2010 Paul won his mens singles group in the Qatar Open in Doha although he lost to Ruwen Filus (GER) in the preliminary round. Paul and his partner Dimitrij Outcharov of Germany lost to P Gerell (SWE) and S Bartosz (POL) in the doubles. In the under 21s competition Paul got to the semi-finals beating S Al-Hasan (KUW) 4-1, M Obeslo (CZE)4-1, and P Floritz (GER) 4-1 before losing to eventual winner Jung Young Sik(KOR) 2-4. Paul will now catch the early morning flight to The Kuwait Pro-Tour tournament which begins on Tuesday 23rd February where he will play Karia Devesh (IND) at 16:45 local time (13:45 GMT) on 23rd February. On 24th February he plays Ahadi Mehan (IRI) at 11:45 local time (8:45 GMT)in the last group match. The doubles and under 21 event draws have yet to be made so keep checking back for updates. |
